Regina athlete Milos Kostic has done it again. Kostic won his age group of Men's 70-74 at the Ford Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii. The Ironman triathlon consists of a 3.8 km swim, 180 km bike and 42.2 km run. Kostic's time of 11 hours, 45 min and 5 seconds set a new age group world record by more than an hour (old record was held by Bob Scott - 12:59:02) Kostic also beat his closest rival by more than an hour - the second place man in men's 70-74, Eli Iwens of Belgium, finished in 12:45:46. Kostic has previously won his age group at Kona 4 times in the Mens' 65-59 age group, and earlier this year was the World age group champion in the Half Ironman in Las Vegas.
