Cure for the Brrr

2020

Thanks to all participants, organizers and volunteers for another successful Cure for the Brrr!

This year's Cure, the tenth race in this series, was the warmest yet - -7 up to -4 degrees. And with sunshine! Oh the runners were happy - so happy that ten of them even ran a marathon or further! Special notes have to go to Craig Herrington, for running his first ultra (50k); Jason Burns for running his first marathon; and Milos Kostic for running his first post-knee-replacement marathon. The winners in the marathon were Conor Renouf in 3:09:37 and Denise Harry in 4:24:00. In the half-marathon, Chris Dornstauder and Rob McLeod tied for first in 1:36:52, and the women's winner was Lorraine Brezinski who would have passed the half-marathon mark in 1:54:39 and continued on for another 11 km.
