Regina runner Stacey Shand completed the prestigious North Face Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc in Chamonix, France today. The race was 120 km long and crossed numerous Alpine passes. Shand was 18th in the Women's aged 23-39 years division with a time of 31 hours, 28 minutes and 42 seconds. The UTMB is a closed race which accepts entries on a points basis of previous mountain ultras - Shand was admitted owing to finishing the Canadian Death Race 125 km, Sinister 7 146 km and Costa Rica Coastal Challenge 227 km.
