Founder Milos Kostic was named the Sask Sport Athlete of the Year for 2011 in the Masters Athlete division. Milos was the dominant winner in the Men's 70-74 age group at both the Ironman and Ironman 70.3 world championships, setting a world age group record at Ironman by more than an hour. His running exploits nearly matched his triathlon accomplishments - he won his age group (on his birthday, no less!) at the Boston marathon in 3:17:38 and posted the second and third fastest marathon times in Canada for men over 70.

Also nominated for the Masters Athlete of the Year are Carol Lafayette-Boyd in Athletics and Jean Roney in Lawn Bowling.
