Lemming Loop, Winnipeg MB, Oct 2-3, 2015

The Lemming Loop is a timed run - either 24 hours, 12 hours, 6 hours, or 3 hours - the runner goes around and around a 3.3 km mostly single track trail, and tries to accumulate as much distance as he or she can. Regina runners rocked!

Congrats to all our ultra runners, particularly our new ultra-runner Carly Graham, who only did her first marathon less than a month ago. Special note to Aubrey Swift, in the 3 hour race, who made a new distance PR. And of course, Jon Paradowski, not for running 100 miles in under 24 hours, but for thinking of the other runners while he was doing it! Chris Riegel wrote: "I think we all already know what a great guy Jon is, but here's a story to add to the archive: around 4:30-5:00 am, we see Jon at the aid station and he asks us to warn the other Regina runners who were starting at 6 about the dangerous roots and rocks on the course. In the dark you couldn't see them, even with a headlamp, and lots of people were falling. Even in the midst of his own challenges, he was thinking of others."
