Las Vegas was filled with Regina runners this weekend! 27 did the Rock and Roll marathon or half-marathon, and four did a crazy event - three long distance runs in three days!

Our Regina athletes really brought home the hardware from the three day event, Three of a Kind, in Las Vegas. Lee-Ann Ricci ran a marathon on day 1 (5:06:04), two halfs on day 2 (2:13:57 and 2:23:52 in the Rock and Roll half) and a marathon on day 3 (5:33:06) to win the top woman status in the two marathons and second woman in the half marathon.

Meanwhile, Jan Steenkamp ran three marathons in three days (5:25:17, 4:54:16 and 5:45:15) to earn 2nd in 50, 2nd M overall and 3rd M overall. Tania Diener ran two marathons in two days (5:03:18 and 6:20:39) to win 2nd W50 and 2nd W overall.

Wendy Tomyk, in her first attempt in this kind of event, ran three half marathons in three days in 2:19:04, 2:14:07, 2:21:30 for 2nd W50, 3rd W overall and 2nd W overall.

Awesome job crew - we are totally impressed!

In the Rock and Roll marathon, Lorraine Brezinski was the fastest Regina woman in 3:46:09 for 13th place in W35. Cam Thick was the fastest man (qualifying for Marathon Maniacs here!) in 3:57:08.

In the half, Darren Engel was the fastest Regina man in 1:35:53 and Donna Kish was the fastest Regina woman in 2:07:14.
