Well, it's less than three weeks after Badwater 135 (one of the hottest Badwater races ever held), and most competitors are likely trying to heal blisters, sunburns, and maybe even sitting back and drinking a few beers. Not our Stacey Shand... Stacey just completed Ultraman Canada, placing second in the women's division. Most people think of Ironman as a long triathlon - Ultraman is more than twice as long and tests competitors over 3 days. The first day consists of a 10 km lake swim, followed by a cycling stage of 144.8 km. The second day, competitors ride 273.5 km by bike, and on the third day, they run a double marathon (84.3 km). Stacey's overall time was 30 hours, 36 minutes and 26 seconds

swim 4:28:09; bike 1: 6:01:51;

bike 2: 10:38:47; and

run 9:27:39

Stacey was the fastest runner among the women, allowing her to jump from 3rd place to 2nd for the overall race.
