There are impressive results from the two Regina-area athletes competing at the Ironman 70.3 triathlon World Championships in South Africa today. Maja Kralovcova finished the 1.9 km swim, 90 km bike and 21.1 km run in 5:30:52, placing 84th in the W30 age group. Thea Jacobs finished in 6:03:46 for 11th place in W60 - aplacing that included a 7th place in her age group for the bike portion.

Neither of these two ladies are new to the World Championship level. Both have previously qualified and competed at the 70.3 World Championships. Maja is also a world championships competitor in obstacle racing, and Thea has qualified for next year’s Aquabike and Duathlon in Spain.

Congrats to both of these amazing women.
