Dale Harvey packed A LOT into a six week vacation in Europe. He saw mountains, forests, islands, sand dunes, windmills, small villages. And he saw them as he was running EIGHT half marathons in EIGHT different countries.

On July 15, was the Amiens half marathon in France; followed on July 21 by the gruelling Stralavigno trail half in Italy. July 28 saw Dale at the Bad Pyrmont half in Germany, followed four days later by the Demi Marathon des Alpes in Leysin Switzerland. Not only was that his shortest time between races, the Swiss half was on technical trail with 1650 m of climbing. Then 3 days later, he did the Holztrassenlauf in St Peter am Klammersberg Austria. On Aug 12, was the delightful sounding Vlieland half marathon in the Netherlands - a race on a mix of road and trail on an island. On Aug 18, Dale ran past residential areas and windmills in Grenaa, Denmark in a time of 2:14:29. His final race was the Servern Bridge half in Chepstow, Wales - finishing off the adventure with a 2:17:06 for 153rd in M50. Congrats Dale - what an adventure!
