Regina's 2nd Annual...

Chase the Goose Marathon

Regina, SK

Saturday, July 12, 2014

6:30 A.M. start

The race will follow the Gopher Attack Marathon double-loop route, starting in front of the Legislative building. There may still be gophers out on the course, and there will definitely be plenty of Canada geese to chase!

The course will have minimal support and will be at your own risk. Traffic will not be stopped and you are responsible for your own safety.  Please ensure you carry fluids and gels, and adjust your pace according to the weather. There will be 2-3 aid stations set up along the course to provide additional water & Powerade.

According to Marathon Maniacs rules, if there are at least 15 starters and 10 finishers, it counts as an official marathon.  There is no chip timing, but results will be recorded and posted on the Marathon Matters website: www.marathonmatters.ca. The course map can be found on the website, and will available at the start as well.

Registration will be capped at 50 participants, and there will be a $10 registration fee to cover the cost of the newly-designed 2014 finisher's medal. Post-race snacks will also be provided.  Payment will be collected and race bibs handed out race morning from 5:45-6:15 A.M.

As well, If anyone wishes to make a donation to the 100 Mile Club Charity, an organization that motivates school children to exercise for fun and health, we will be accepting donations at registration.  2 of our Marathon Matters members are setting up a 100 Mile Club chapter in Regina.

Please pre-register for the full or half marathon distance by emailing the race director, Cari Bode, at president@marathonmatters.ca. Please email Cari if you would like to volunteer at an aid station.
